Fundind and the Management of Secondary Education in Delta State, Nigeria

It is impossible to overstate the impact that financing has on managing and achieving educational goals since it controls how quickly education is developing in Nigeria. In this study, the management of public secondary schools in Delta State, Nigeria, is examined in relation to finance. For the investigation, a descriptive survey design was chosen. All of Delta State's public secondary schools' principals made up the study's population. A stratified random sampling technique was used to pick a sample of 160 principals at random for the investigation. The study was directed by three research questions and three hypotheses. Data were gathered using a study tool called the "Influence of Funding and Management of Secondary School Questionnaire" (IFMSSQ). An expert-validated version of the tool yielded a Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of 0.82, which is considered to be reliable. The research issues were addressed using descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation, and the Z-test, conducted at a significance level of 0.05, was utilized to assess the hypotheses. According to the study, finance is a key factor in determining how instructional materials, human resource management, and facilities are provided in the educational system. Among other things, it came to the conclusion that adequate finance methods must be adopted in order to meet the objectives of secondary education. The study recommended among others, that the government allocate enough funding and the provision of educational materials for effective and efficient teaching and learning activities in public secondary schools in Delta State, Nigeria.
