Abstract

This study explores the influence of cybersecurity policies on the online behavior of students in tertiary institutions across northeastern Nigeria. Using a mixed-method approach, data were gathered from 400 students through surveys and interviews. Findings reveal that cybersecurity policies positively influence online behavior, encouraging safer practices, yet challenges to policy adherence persist. Enhanced policy frameworks and targeted cybersecurity training are recommended to improve compliance and awareness.
