Article Processing Charges
To cover the expenses associated with delivering a quality publishing service and ensuring open access for readers, authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication in the journal are required to pay a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC). There are no surcharges, regardless of the article's length, inclusion of figures, or supplementary data. Below are the details of the APC structure and what it covers.
Publication Fee
The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) for all accepted articles is $50 (USD). This fee covers peer review, professional editing and typesetting, immediate open access publication under a Creative Commons license (CC BY 4.0), indexing in major databases, and long-term digital preservation and archiving.
Discounted Fee
Considering the financial circumstances of researchers and academics from marginalised groups, communities, and low-income and lower-middle-income countries (as defined by the World Bank), a discounted APC of $25 (USD) is available. This represents a 50% discount on the standard fee to ensure equitable access to publication opportunities for the researchers.
Methods of Payment
Authors can make payments using the secure online payment form provided below. For international authors, use the currency converter below to convert the amount from USD to your local currency before proceeding with the transaction. Receipt will be generated upon payment and sent to your email for your records.
You can simply make payment online using the secure payment form below or via Paystack direct payment page (Paystack is a secured and robust international payment gateway for processing both local and international payments).
What the APC Covers
The APC covers a comprehensive range of services to ensure high-quality publication and broad dissemination of your work. These include:
- Editorial and Peer Review Services: Each submission undergoes a rigorous peer review process by experts in the field, ensuring the highest academic standards. Editorial support is also provided to guide authors through the publication process.
- Online Hosting, Maintenance, and Archiving: Published articles are hosted on the journal’s platform, maintained for long-term accessibility, and archived to ensure permanent availability.
- Digital Object Identifier (DOI): A unique DOI is assigned to each article through CrossRef, making it easily citable and traceable in the academic community.
- Letter of Acceptance: Authors receive a letter of acceptance along with the peer review report.
- Indexing in Academic Databases: Articles are indexed in major academic databases to enhance their visibility and discoverability.
- Marketing and Promotion: The journal actively promotes published articles through various channels to increase their reach and impact within the research community.
Refund Policy
Please note that refunds are not provided once the manuscript has been accepted and published. Authors are encouraged to ensure their submissions meet the journal’s guidelines and standards before proceeding with the submission process.
