Strategic Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Growth of SMEs in Nigeria
Abstract
This study examined the effect of strategic entrepreneurship on the sustainable growth of SMEs in Nigeria by focusing on three key dimensions: entrepreneurial leadership, strategic management, and entrepreneurial knowledge. The literature review highlights the concept of entrepreneurship and its benefits, the overview of strategic entrepreneurship and its dimensions, proactive leadership in improving performance during economic downturns, strategic human resource management in boosting competitiveness, and the importance of innovation and knowledge in sustaining growth. The study employs a desk review methodology, drawing on existing literature and secondary data to explore the relationship between strategic entrepreneurship and firm growth. The findings highlight the importance of aligning entrepreneurial initiatives with strategic goals, enhancing leadership, and fostering an entrepreneurial culture to achieve sustainable growth. The study recommends that Nigerian SMEs prioritize leadership development, strategic planning, and innovation to remain competitive and achieve long-term success.
