The Arabic language holds a prominent position in global history, being both a cultural and religious symbol and a primary vehicle for the transmission of knowledge. Originating in the Arabian Peninsula, Arabic has evolved significantly, giving rise to numerous dialects and becoming the liturgical language of Islam. This article explores the historical evolution of Arabic, tracing its origins from early Semitic roots, through its transformation during the Islamic Golden Age, to the modern dialects and the development of Modern Standard Arabic. The study highlights key cultural, political, and intellectual factors that have shaped Arabic over time.
