Preventing Child Abuse in Era of Covid-19 Pandemic in Nigeria

Abstract

Child abuse is challenge in every society and can be in the form of physical, emotional, sexual in providing for the child’s needs. All these can leave the child in a long-lasting psychological trauma or damage caused by COVID-19 Pandemic. The Abused children are at the increased risk. Child abuse is often in the form of an action, there are also example of in action that cause harm like neglect which can harm a child in the post COVID-19. The aim of this research is to identify the types, causes of Child Abuse and preventive strategies for the trauma during era of post COVID-19 Pandemic in Nigeria. Conclusion and recommendations were also made.
