Abstract

The paper is to study the problematic use of smartphones and related complications among adolescents. Smartphones are useful devices that can be employed for productive transactions with self and others, it’s encompass a broad ways of getting quick information or data in all areas of learning. Smartphones also have contents that adolescents find interesting and fascinating, this makes the phone a huge attraction for young people. The use of smartphones can be problematic for adolescents as it affects them emotionally, psychologically and socially, the side effects of problematic use of smartphones bringing the complete issues into perspective and highlighting the strategies that can be procured as resolution for problems. Moreover positive active use of smartphones proven to uplift emotional health and help to boost interactions which raise confidence in young people.
